Upgrading Bonney Lake's Builder-Grade Kitchens

Most homes in Bonney Lake were built between 2000 and 2015, and many of them have builder-grade kitchens that look dated compared to current styles. I work throughout the Lake Tapps area, Sky Island, and the neighborhoods along Highway 410. The typical project here is a full kitchen upgrade: tearing out old laminate countertops, replacing particle-board cabinets with solid wood or plywood-box construction, and installing quartz or granite surfaces. I have been remodeling kitchens in Bonney Lake since opening Pacific Remodeling in 2018.

Many Bonney Lake homes already have an open floor plan, so the focus is on materials and finishes rather than layout changes. I see a lot of demand for large kitchen islands with waterfall-edge countertops, under-cabinet LED lighting, and soft-close cabinetry. These upgrades transform a cookie-cutter builder kitchen into something that looks custom. A typical Bonney Lake kitchen remodel runs 2 to 4 weeks depending on scope. You can read more about the full process on my kitchen remodeling page.

Bonney Lake permits go through the City of Bonney Lake Community Development Department. For most kitchen remodels, I pull a building permit and coordinate electrical and plumbing sub-inspections. The city has been growing fast, and the permitting staff stays busy, so I submit applications early to keep your project timeline on track.
